For the last few months, I’ve been spending most of my time in a perpetual state of megabusy. All of my energy has been put into applying to grad schools, working, rehearsing with Goldilocks Planet, holiday craziness, and two other music projects on the side. Now that most of this is finished, I’ll be working on finishing up the site. In other news, I’ll be heading to Austin, TX later this month to interview with the music department at the University of Texas in Austin. Otherwise I’m still in waiting to hear from the other four schools I applied to. Goldilocks Planet is hard at work polishing songs and some improv chops as we plan to head into the studio at the beginning of March. We’re hoping to have at least an EP out in late spring. Finally, I will be starting a kickstarter (or other similar crowdfunding site) campaign very soon for the Secret Dad album that has been a few years in the making to try to raise funds to get a nice CD pressing of the album; stay tuned for more info on that front. In the meantime check out the fifteen minute mini-documentary on artistic pole-dancing that I created music for, and if you want to relive the christmas season you can listen to a jazz/americana/electronic/pop rendition of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting) by myself and the great Kaleena Zanders.

Hello all! The site is getting more and more polished and looking better all the time. Still a bit of work to do, but I estimate it will be complete within the month. I just got home from a greyhound trip up to San Francisco and Oakland where I had the chance to meet with Fred Frith and sit in on one of his Composition Seminars at Mills College. I was very impressed with the vibe of the program, the campus, and Fred himself. Here’s to hoping I get into the grad program there!
